Lorenzo Riva, artistic director of luxury fashion label Balenciaga during the 1980s, launched the Cristóbal Balenciaga: To the Moon nonfungible token (NFT) collection on Thursday in collaboration with Cointelegraph. The NFT 8300 collection includes a never before seen original design by Cristóbal Balenciaga himself.

Cristobal had humble beginnings as an apprentice to a local tailor and eventually rose to prominence in the fashion industry as a pioneer in new forms of clothing. These fashions, such as the baggy dress and the cocoon coat, changed the course of women’s fashion in the 1950s.

During the 1980s, Lorenzo Riva worked as artistic director at Balenciaga and received original designs created by Cristóbal. Cointelegraph created the art collection and collaborated with Art Vein, an NFT platform for fine arts, Animal Concerts, entertainment company Metaverse and Crypto.com NFT to bring this trendy digital NFT collection to life.

There are a total of 10,000 unique pieces of fashion history to grab, and the team has doubled up on rewards and gifts to make it an unforgettable experience. NFT makers will be eligible for designer gear, gift cards for high-end brands, and even 70-year-old Cristobal graphics.
