The normalization of cryptocurrency announcements this week was another leap forward as Europe’s most successful football clubs announced a partnership with the Turkish Bitcoin Trading Platform (BTC).

Rangers Football Club, the European club that has won the most titles, has won 115 competitions on its own behalf and will participate with Bitci Technology in the exchange of Turkish digital currency. The partnership lasts until the end of the 2022-2023 season, and the Bitci brand will be displayed in the club’s bar. As part of the agreement, the club will also publish its fan code.

The club’s official Twitter account announced the news on February 17, saying:

“RangersFC are pleased to announce an exciting new official partnership with Bitci Technology, in a broad agreement to bring the bitcicom brand to Rangers first team shorts before the end of the 2022/23 season.”
Rangers was founded in 1872 and is one of the oldest and most successful football teams in Europe. Although the club plays in the lesser known Scottish league, Rangers regularly draw over 50,000 fans to the stadium each week. Rangers fan clubs have appeared in Sudan, Australia, Spain, USA and abroad.

Rangers Marketing Director James Bisgrove noted the partnership, noting the positive impact it has on business revenue, saying, “It will have an immediate and positive impact on continued revenue growth.”
