Major US electronics retailer Newegg continues to dive and manages to pay with cryptocurrency and large bills, Shiba Inu (SHIB).
On November 29, Newegg officially announced that they will begin hosting SHIB as part of their holiday campaign starting “early December.”
To activate the new payment method, Newegg has teamed up with cryptocurrency payment platform BitPay. The company previously unblocked payments with another dog-centered digital currency, Dogecoin (DOGE), through BitPay in April 2021.
said Andrew Choi, director of brand marketing for Newegg.
Cointelegraph has reached out to Newegg with several questions and will update this article in anticipation of new information.

As previously reported, Newegg became one of the first major online stores to accept Bitcoin (BTC) when the company first partnered with BitPay in 2014. This feature first appeared in the United States, then the company expanded its payment options to more than 70 countries.
The cryptoadoption option for payments is gaining ground in various industries. Last month, American film company AMC announced that it had finally adopted four major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC) after months of prompts.
