The Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club in the English Premier League will launch fan tokens as part of a new partnership with Turkish blockchain platform Bitci Technology.
The Premier League is the most popular football league in the world, Betsy said in a statement. Turkish blockchain specialists will develop a Wolves fan token on Bitcichain. Bitci’s crypto exchange will list the wolf fan token first, followed by other exchanges around the world.
During a multi-year deal, starting in the 2021-2022 season, the Bitci logo will be displayed on Wolves jerseys and screens at the historic Wolves Stadium, Molineux. As one of the founders of the Football League in England, Wolves have played at Molineux Stadium since 1889.
Commenting on the partnership, Wolves spokesperson Russell Jones said: “We look forward to exploring options for fan codes that we believe will create a different way to reach our fans in the UK and abroad.”
Bitci Technology is known for its Fan Token partnerships with teams from a wide range of sports. He recently became the official symbolic partner for McLaren Racing F1 fans and the Turkish national team.
The Spanish national football team previously collaborated with Bitci to launch an icon for fans. The company is also the official sponsor of the Rangers Football Club crest.
