Samsung is the latest giant to announce the Metaventure project and has chosen Decentraland for its metaverse project.

The consumer electronics giant announced Thursday that it will open a virtual version of the popular physical store in New York to improve customer experience at a time when the emerging Corona virus is holding people back from physical stores.

Samsung Metaverse is a replica of a real-life store located at 837 Washington Street in Manhattan’s New York meat processing area. The Samsung Store 837X will now be available in a descriptive version for a limited time. The company claims to be one of the largest brand acquisitions in Decentraland, a blockchain-based metaverse.

Customers must first log into Decentraland through a web browser to access the store. Once logged in, their avatar will be sent outside of the Samsung Metaverse. When the avatar enters the lobby, the virtual guide guides the avatar into one of three interior spaces: Resilience, Adaptation, and Connectivity.
